Rupali Tasnim Samad

I am a Software Engineer at Samsung R&D Institute Bangladesh and a researcher working at the intersection of artificial intelligence and human–computer interaction. I earned my B.Sc. in Software Engineering from the Institute of Information Technology, University of Dhaka with government scholarship for academic excellence in undergraduate program.

My work spans responsible AI, privacy, human–computer interaction, and efficient on-device intelligence. I have led two AI-driven patents since joining Samsung R&D. Over the past two years, I have worked with Dr. Syed Ishtiaque Ahmed across three research projects. I have also collaborated with Dr. Sharifa Sultana at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Dr. Tanusree Sharma at Pennsylvania State University on different research projects.

Nov. 2025 Received the Excellence in Research Award, 2025 Q2, at Samsung R&D Institute Bangladesh.
Jul. 2025 My AI proof of concept on stress-measurement wearables received the highest votes from 293 engineers in Samsung R&D Bangladesh's internal AI PoC contest and was named People's Champion.
