Rupali Tasnim Samad

I am a Software Engineer at Samsung R&D Institute Bangladesh and a researcher working at the intersection of artificial intelligence and human–computer interaction. I earned my B.Sc. in Software Engineering from the Institute of Information Technology, University of Dhaka, with a CGPA of 3.83/4.00.

My research explores responsible AI, privacy, human–computer interaction, and on-device intelligence, with particular attention to how technical systems interact with social realities in Global South contexts. Over the past two years, I have worked with Dr. Syed Ishtiaque Ahmed across three research projects. I have also collaborated with Dr. Sharifa Sultana at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Dr. Tanusree Sharma at Pennsylvania State University on different research projects.

Nov. 2025 Received the Excellence in Research Award, 2025 Q2, at Samsung R&D Institute Bangladesh.
Jul. 2025 My AI proof of concept on stress-measurement wearables received the highest votes from 293 engineers in Samsung R&D Bangladesh's internal AI PoC contest and was named People's Champion.
